Featured deployment: Mawared MENA

Localising humanitarian procurement across the Middle East and North Africa

Mawared MENA is a Foundation-supported deployment designed to strengthen local and regional sourcing for humanitarian and development actors across the Middle East and North Africa.

The platform brings together supplier visibility, bilingual access (Arabic/English), structured procurement workflows, due diligence and digital tendering. Its purpose is to make humanitarian procurement more transparent, efficient and locally anchored, while giving suppliers, SMEs and manufacturers a fairer pathway to visibility.

Mawared MENA reflects the Foundation’s core principles: non-profit access to professional procurement infrastructure, free registration for suppliers and SMEs, stronger local market visibility, donor-aligned transparency and procurement as a lever for localisation and better use of funds.
