Introducing the Solvoz Foundation

The Solvoz Foundation is enabling open-access knowledge for non-governmental organisations, social mission organisations, charities and health organisations in an freely accessible solutions catalogue. Solvoz supports users (non-governmental organisations, health organisations or charities) to search based on an need to address. Solvoz helps users to identify the right solutions by technical support; define relevant criteria to assure fit for purpose and context solutions. Solutions can be packages, kits, products, services, designs or combinations of those.

The Foundation works together with the start-up Solvoz. Solvoz provides a platform that integrates the catalogue with a procurement workflow (SaaS) online. Learn more about the support provided by watching our short explainer video of Steven, a clinic supervisor in Kenya. 

Explaining your internship in two paragraphs

During your internship you will help expanding the globally accessible knowledge base for one of the following domains: 1. Maternal Health, 2. Emergency Shelter, 3. Relief Supplies, 4. Clean Energy, 5. Sanitation. Within your domain/sector you will define a specific sub area (for example toilets or pit toilets for Sanitation, NFI for relief supplies etc) to contribute to. During your internship we will support you and connect you with relevant experts, partners or agencies.

You will help define and translate guidance documents and manuals into practical solutions and kits. You will create solutions according the Solvoz Standard, write solution descriptions, apply responsible logic (define pre-requisite of a solution for example), search for existing solutions, products and services), innovations and current catalogues. Apply product and sector standards and make them understandable for the wider public. Liaise with experts and organisations.

Requirements

  • You are fluent in English and currently enrolled or recently graduated from an academic institute.
  • You have a structured work approach, think logical and are able to synthesize information quickly from various sources and able to define relevant material and criteria.
  • You have great writing skills, meaning: you are able to write clear descriptions, and able to consolidate information quickly. You are able to translate from professional literature, practical guidelines and other material towards supporting descriptions, solutions and guidance for our users.
  • You relish to learn more in your area of choice in our sector and wish to support our users with the outcome of this!

Basic Information

  • Hours: Flexible working hours (parttime: 20 hours/week)
  • Location: Working from home
  • Start date: As soon as possible – applications on a rolling basis
  • Duration: Initially 3 months
  • Intern Compensation available
