We Need Your Expertise for Mass Vaccination Campaigns
The Solvoz Foundation is looking for contributors to a mass vaccination working group. The Solvoz solutions catalogue contains solutions specifically focused on the COVID-19 pandemic. The solutions developed so far cover prevention and infection control, detection and diagnostics, patient care and public safety. Now that a number of vaccines against the coronavirus are becoming available, the Solvoz Foundation is starting a new work stream to create solutions for mass vaccination campaigns. We are looking for contributors to help us achieve this.
We are looking for people with expertise and experience in the following areas:
- Storage solutions for central stores to distribution sites primarily for cold chain products;
- Transport solutions (services and materials) of cold chain materials at all levels in the supply chain;
- Temperature control and monitoring devices;
- Vaccination sites and solutions for hygiene and PPE, waste management, facilities for staff and recipients of vaccines.
Our aim is to provide solutions that will bring together technical knowledge and experience, enabling the creation of practical solutions for organisations to implement vaccination campaigns. This knowledge is accessible to all, through the Solvoz platform.
What is a solution?
The type solutions you will create are usually a kit of products and services that meet a specific need. Solutions often have guidance or a protocol to follow in order to safely use the solution. Solutions can be very basic, such as a simple hand washing solution or a PPE kit for cleaning staff, as well as much more involved, like a healthcare waste management facility.
Solutions incorporate full cost of ownership and are typically context specific. This ensures any organisation using the solution will be aware of full requirements for their vaccination campaign. For example, a vaccination site will generate a large quantity of hazardous waste that needs to be safely disposed of. The solutions catalogue also offers these prerequisite solutions for waste management.
Who can help us create solutions?
We need people who have a good theoretical as well as practical knowledge. Ideally, people have had hands-on experience in implementing and managing the different aspects of a mass vaccination campaign.
If you have run mass vaccination sites, managed medical pharmacies with a cold chain (ensuring compliance with cold chain protocols) or managed the logistic planning and implementation of cold chain transport, you can add your knowledge to the solutions catalogue, so it can be used by all. If you have specialised knowledge of equipment, your expertise is also needed to ensure we identify the right type of products and quality standards.
How much time does it take to contribute?
Your contribution can be just to provide a critical eye on the content of a solution and providing feedback, making small adjustments to a solutions content, or creating a solution from scratch. You can contribute based on the time you have available.
What support does the Solvoz Foundation give?
The Solvoz Foundation will help you make best use of the site. We have technical experts from a wide range of disciplines that can be utilised to progress a solution. We will also ensure that the working group functions and has the right products and data in the system to allow you to work efficiently and make a positive contribution to tackle the future challenge of vaccinating the world from the coronavirus.
